How many blondes does it take to play an audio tape?

I thought these dumb blonde jokes were just a way to make fun of few folks, who might have inadvertently done something stupid much to the amusement of folks who witness it.

But indeed, there is some iota of truth here… today I saw three blondes attempting to play an audio tape in a three in one player( Three in one, since it is an antiquated piece of hardware, plays FM radio, plays CD and of course magnetic tapes.)

So these three females in question were attempting to play the magnetic tape in this player, but, the player refused to play it. Then started the usual play around it.

All the while failing to realize that it was in the cd mode and that it would not play a magnetic tape, until and unless, you changed it to the tape mode.

Phew… it does indeed take three blondes to play an audio tape.

PS: Names have been changed to protect identities and of course my own well being. References will not be provided on request.

Char Aane ki Murgi Barah Aane Ka Masala.

Yes… That's what I feel. The effort started as an attempt by a friend who wanted to make eggless Tiramisu. Obviously, since I am a stakeholder in the end product (read that as one who would also eat the end product) I accompanied my friend for purchasing the necessary ingredients.

  1. Custard Powder – 30 bucks
  2. Cheese – 30 bucks
  3. Coffee Powder – 50 bucks
  4. Sponge Cake – ( We couldn’t get it anywhere near the house!! )
  5. Auto ride for the quest for a 50 buck sponge cake – 70 bucks!!!
  6. A Tiramisu which merely ended up being a figment of someone's imagination – priceless!!!

Damn!!! So we continue the quest for an eggless tiramisu, maybe next week!!!

My Experiments with Food…

This blog is a result of my tryst with unmentionable things being passed off in my food as a part of the food.

To avoid any complications, I will desist from naming any of the places where I encountered these exotic items being passed off as food.

I would be listing these experiments in chronological order, one event at a time.

Here goes,

This was a few years back, when I went to a place near my house. This place serves some really tasty Dosa’s. For those who don’t know what a Dosa is, I recommend visiting this url: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dosa

This was a joint where they served Rava Dosa. Generally, they make it the “NORMAL” way, the one I ordered, they chose to make it nutritious. For some reason, they thought that probably, I was low on iron in my daily nutrition intake. So they took the liberty of adding an “Iron Nail” in the dosa. I was unlucky that I noticed something unlike a dosa while chewing. So fortunately, the nail didn’t end up making a hole in my upper jaw.

But, I guess they fired the cook and I did try the Dosa’s sometimes later.

I am alive without any internal bleeding so I guess, the iron nail was the last of it.

Delhi 6

Today, I bought the CD for the soundtrack for Delhi-6.

You have got to give it to A R Rahman. The guy is on a roll. Since last year he has been composing for various movies, all of different genres. And all of his compositions have been awesome.

This soundtrack is no different. So far its just the three songs that I am grooving to. Will be catching up with the rest sooner or later.

1. Masakali.

2. Dilli-6.

3. Yeh Kaala Bandar.

The Dilli-6 song, though does have some gibberish in it in the form of a few french words. But that apart, its pretty good. Masakali, takes the cake though. Have already set my Blackberry Bold 9000 ringtone to Masakali!! :)
